Ponteland United Reserves continued their recent good form with a resounding 12-0 win over nine-man Lindisfarne Custom Planet Reserves.
Dan Troughton netted a hat-trick, while there were pairs from Myles Candlish, Sean McDonald and Ryan Murphy, and single strikes from Darren Parkes, Ebin Prieto and Mark Thompson. Kennie Malia’s side have now won four of their last five games in all competitions.
Forest Hall YPC and West Jesmond played out an entertaining draw, with Forest Hall taking the lead before Jesmond turned the tables to go 3-1 in front, before having to settle for a point. Matthew Eiles, Callum Ritson and Gary Rutherford scored for the hosts, with Chris Barr, Gary Wilkinson and manager Stuart Davidson scoring for West Jesmond.
Blyth Town Reserves moved level on points with Bedlington Juniors after beating them 3-2 in a game in which they trailed twice. Ethan Paige and Darren Percy scored for 10-man Bedlington, with goals from Joseph McDonnell (2) and substitute Alex Idana-Ridley winning it for Town.
North Shields Athletic Reserves once again had the better of Newcastle Chemfica Reserves, beating them 3-1 thanks to goals from new signing Louis Lawson, Nicholas Henderson and Bradley Smith. Nick Lord netted the sole strike for Chemfica.
Wardley and Newcastle East End shared six goals and the points at Welfare Park, with Anthony Kew (2) and Lee Thompson scoring for the hosts, and Michael Stephenson (2) and Vernon Slade on target for the visitors, who move off the bottom of the table.
Ryton and Crawcrook Albion Reserves returned from Newcastle Medicals with three points, after Nathan Sheppard netted the only goal, while Stobswood Welfare unfortunately bowed out of the Northumberland FA Minor Cup 3-1 at the hands of Seaton Burn.
