A North Tyneside football club are celebrating their latest sponsorship deal in style.
Players of Monkseaton Juniors FC stepped out in brand new kit sponsored by the sunglasses giant Ray Ban, courtesy of Robinson Optometrist Ltd in Monkseaton.
The arrangement, which has seen the company’s famous logo take pride of place on the club’s U11s Blacks match day strips, has also seen each member of the squad and coaches Chris Foreman and Sean Diamond receive a complimentary pair of the classic Wayfarer sunglasses.
The team has begun its inaugural season well and is placed in mid-table.
Monkseaton Juniors FC manager Mark Bryden said: “Starting a new club is expensive so we are very grateful to Robinson Optometrists for their generous support.
“The boys look great in their sunglasses and are looking forward to an exciting season.”
Robinson Optometrist director Nigel Robinson said: “All of our team at Robinsons are passionate about promoting our local community, and providing opportunities within it.
“Ray Ban are a brilliant name for the club to be connected with and we really hope the sun shines on their season.”
Monkseaton Juniors FC currently runs teams for young people between the ages of seven and 13 and play at Monkseaton High School.
