WHITLEY Bay Boys Club Whites got back to winning ways against a much improved Tynemouth Yellows.
It did not take long before the Whites created their first real attempt on goal, Chris Allen shooting just wide.
Tynemouth went close with a long range effort before the Whites took the lead when Jake Hill crossed for Harry Richardson to score.
Tynemouth battled for an equaliser but were thwarted by the excellent Ben Reid at the back.
The second goal came when a Chris Allen free kick ricocheted off a Tynemouth defender’s head and went straight in the net.
In the second half Whites came out attacking with Nathan Lea failing to find the net with two chances.
Tynemouth Yellows were matching the Whites on all fronts but they just could not get the goal they needed, thanks in part to White’s goalkeeper Fred McKenzie.
The third goal came as a result of good work by Sam Petty. He won the ball and fed Will McCamley down the left wing, and he took the ball forward and hit a sweet shot past the keeper.
All in all, a great response from Whites following last week’s defeat.
The boys from Tynemouth Yellows were applauded after a really good game, played in the right spirit, which they contributed much to.
