Whitley Bay’s footballers reach the end of a long season next Wednesday and can be almost certain of finishing in third place in the Ebac Northern League first division, behind the runaway leading pair of Darlington and Spennymoor.
Their final two games are both at Hillheads, firstly on Friday evening, kick-off 7.30pm, when Consett are the visitors.
The Steelmen are having a good end to the season and have risen into the top ten despite poor early season form.
The sides have already met twice this campaign, with Bay coming out on top both times, firstly in a 1-0 success at Consett then a 3-1 win at Hillheads in the League Cup.
Whitley’s last game comes Wednesday, May 8, at home to FA Vase semi-finalists Shildon, and rounds off a punishing schedule of 15 games in just over five weeks.
Plans are already being made for next season, which begins in August, and the club has announced that season ticket prices will be held at the current level for the 2013-14 season.
In addition, there will be a special ‘early bird’ reduction for season tickets bought before the end of May.
The specials offer prices are £99 for adults and £60 for concessions.
There is also a family offer available – one adult and one child for £125.
Tickets are now available from club treasurer Jennifer Breakwell.
