Whitley Bay may not have been in competitive action for more than two weeks due to the wintry weather, but manager Paddy Atkinson has remained busy in the transfer market.
Having brought in six players last month, the new boss has added a further two midfielders to his squad this week while another has moved to pastures new.
The new arrivals are Paul King from Jarrow Roofing and Jack Stanger, who has made the move from Sunderland RCA.
Departing Hillheads is Marc Ellison, who was one of former manager Leon Ryan’s summer signings and is now joining Shildon.
During his time at Whitley Bay, he made 19 appearances, six of which came as a substitute.
Midweek work commitments meant that he was unable to command a regular place in the side and he last featured in the game against Penrith on January 3.
