Whitley Bay face their toughest game of the season so far on Saturday when they travel to Dunston UTS.
The Gateshead outfit have made a flying start to the new campaign, winning all three of their games, scoring 18 goals in the process and without conceding even one.
Whitley are also unbeaten in their two league games, with one win and a draw, but Paddy Atkinson’s side will need to be at their best if they are to dent the impressive record of their hosts.
On Wednesday, August 26, Whitley Bay are on their travels once again, this time to local rivals Bedlington Terriers, who are now managed by Andy Ferrell.
The midfielder spent a short time as a player at Hillheads last season.
The Terriers suffered an 8-0 drubbing at the hands of Dunston on the opening day of the season but picked up their first point four days later at Newcastle Benfield.
