Whitley Bay make their first visit to Belle Vue Stadium, the new home of Consett on Saturday.
The new ground, which is in the Delves Lane area of the town, has an all-weather surface and has only been open since November.
The Steelmen made an excellent start to life at their new home but their form has dipped in recent weeks.
They currently sit three places ahead of Whitley having played two games more, but the latest form table sees Bay just above the north west Durham side.
It is a remarkable statistic that 85 goals have been scored in the 16 games played at Belle Vue so the fans have certainly not been starved in entertainment.
Last season’s game between the sides at the old Belle Vue ground ended in a 1-0 victory for Whitley Bay, the only goal coming from Paul Chow.
And it was the Bay captain who scored both goals in a 2-0 triumph at Hillheads when the sides met in October.
A familiar face in the Consett defence this season is the popular former Bay Vase winning captain David Coulson, whose career was threatened by a series of knee injuries but he has now returned to fitness.
Whitley have no midweek game scheduled for next week, but two Bay players will feature in the Northern League’s 125th anniversary game against an FA team at Bishop Auckland on Tuesday evening.
Callum Anderson and Paul Chow have both been named in an 18-strong squad packed with the league’s top players.
