Having previously operated out of a Portacabin and then a caravan, Whitley Bay FC Supporters’ Club now has its very own hop at the football ground.

Tommy Moody, Supporters’ Club president and stalwart of many years at Hillheads, cut the ribbon to officially open the new shop before Saturday’s Northern League game against Consett.

Stocking a wide variety of club merchandise as well as a selection of football related books, the shop will be open at every home game.

The club emblem, a Seahorse, was painted on the front of the shop by Aissa, daughter of Supporters’ Club treasurer Stephen Tyley.
