TYNEMOUTH United Yellows continued their unbeaten run when they entertained Hexham Whites at Valley Gardens at the weekend.

The teams played out a goalless draw in what was an eagerly anticipated encounter after Tynemouth won the clash earlier in the season 3-1.

All of the play in the opening ten minutes was heavily concentrated around the central midfield area with both teams finding it difficult to break each other down.

Hexham had a few forays into the Tynemouth area but each time they were met with some stout defending.

After 25 minutes, Tynemouth keeper Daniel Jackson had to be brave and quick to block a shot at the feet of a Hexham striker.

In the second half, Tynemouth’s Harry Richardson had two long range shots cleared while Luca Buzzeo saw his effort saved by the keeper after being put through.

Luca Buzzeo was then put through on goal, but the Hexham keeper was equal to his shot.

Will Forster then saw his shot hit the Hexham post before time eventually ran out and the sides shared the points.
