Beach training for Eagles players

WALLSEND Eagles Rugby League Club took advantage of nearby Tynemouth Long Sands to keep their pre-season preparations under way when tempratures hit sub-zero last week.

The club, which is usually based at Benfield Sports College, hit the beach to futher their preparations for the upcoming rugby league season.

Players aged from seven to 15 were present and were put through their paces by the coaches in both fitness and skill based drills.

Training and games are played on Saturday mornings and new players are welcome to call in whether they have played rugby before or not.
