Whitley Bay continue their challenge for third place in the Ebac Northern League first division when they complete their away programme this week.
Following a trip to Sunderland RCA on Tuesday, they visit Newton Aycliffe on Thursday before travelling to Marske United on Saturday.
All three sides are at the lower end of the table battling to avoid relegation and will not provide easy opposition.
But Whitley will be looking for three more wins to keep the pressure on third placed West Auckland, who have faltered recently, losing their last three games.
Next Wednesday sees Whitley Bay go in search of some silverware when they take on Ashington in the Northumberland Senior Cup final at St James’ Park, Newcastle, kick-off 7pm.
This will be a repeat of the 2010 final when Bay were 2-1 winners.
With the Colliers currently sixth in the Northern League table, another closely contested game is expected.
In the league games between the sides this season, the away side won on both occasions.
Ashington running out 3-1 winners at Hillheads back in August while at Woodhorn Lane in February, Whitley came from behind to claim a well deserved 2-1 victory.
Whitley’s recent good form has partly been a result of highly promising performances by several youngsters coming through from the reserves side and they will be in contention for places in the final.
This will be Whitley’s 21st appearance in the Senior Cup final, and they will be looking to win the trophy for the 13th time.
The game must be decided on the night so if necessary there will be extra time and penalties.
