TyneMet Titans basketball Team celebrate their first win in five years over Loreto College in the England Basketball/British Colleges Sports Elite League.

TYNEMET College basketball team are celebrating their first win over their ‘bogey team’.

For the first time in five years, the Titans overcame powerhouse Loreto College in the England Basketball/British Colleges Sports Elite League.

Up against their ‘Achilles heel’, they beat the Manchester side 71-54 thanks to some outstanding performances.

The Titans were trailing by three points at the end of the first quarter, however, by the end of the second quarter they were leading 37-36.

And following a strong half-time team talk, they went into the final quarter nine ahead.

The Titans continued to extended the lead with some perfect individual baskets which resulted in a 71-54 win.
