A TYNESIDE youngster has become British champion in a national pool competition.
Amy Brown, who is a member of North Shields East End Youth and Community Centre, travelled to Coventry after reaching the national finals of the National Association of Clubs for Young People.
Amy won the under-14 round, a year after winning the under-12 category.
Adam Starling and Caitlyn Campbell also competed in the under-16 and under-12 rounds respectively and both finished runners-up.
The success came eight weeks after the first round of the competition taking place at Whitley Bay’s Young People’s Centre.
