North Shields School of Boxing are looking to pack a punch and build on the success of last year’s annual show.

The event provided some fantastic match ups showcasing local talent in front of a packed crown at the Kings Street Social Club.

Now officials at the club are looking to build on that success on March 5 where local boxers hope to improve on their unbeaten records, avenge losses in rematches and provide a similar spectacle to last year’s event.

A total of 12 bouts are scheduled from Junior to Senior level with a number of debutants hoping to start their careers off with success.

Local favourites including Chris Barton, Dom Hattan, Andy Spowart and super heavyweight Wes Burgo will hope to entertain an expected packed venue.

Coach Phil Hattan said: “We are building a really strong boxing team at North Shields and we have a great relationship with our local community and its great to see people coming along to watch some really talented individuals.

“These shows are vital to ensure we can sustain our development as a club and attract more people to come along and learn a fantastic sport whilst staying fit and healthy.”

Doors open at 7pm on Wednesday, March 5. For ticket and sponsorship information contact Geordie on 07445 897696.

Tickets will be available on the door but people are advised to purchase prior to the event to avoid disappointment.
