Cricket club set for AGM

TYNEMOUTH Cricket Club is holding its 166th AGM at the club on Wednesday, February 27, at 7.30pm.

The management committee will report on a challenging 12 months dominated by poor weather, which caused the loss of 53 fixtures and created additional work for officials and groundstaff.

The club continued to make good progress on the playing side with the First Team, skippered by Ben Debnam, finishing ninth in the NE Premier League and reaching three cup finals.

A youthful Second Team finished fourth in the second division and also made it to two cup finals and the finals day of the NEPL 20/20 competition.

The club is looking forward to the new season, with any new members welcome to attend the AGM.
