Cullercoats Tennis Club boys enjoyed an emphatic victory over Beverley Park to secure top spot in the league with one game to play.
Joe Angus and Fred Stewart dominated the number one and two singles in not dropping a game, and they also won the No.1 doubles in straight sets.
Jonny Jordan and Matt McCamley won comfortable singles before coming through a tough tussle in the doubles in the third set tie-break for a 6-0 Cullercoats victory.
Cullercoats boys’ 16s also won last weekend, against Durham Moor, with Alfie Briggs and Tom Whiting Adams pairing up well to sacrifice only one game in the doubles and both taking straight set singles wins.
Cameron Daniel lost a close singles but formed a good partnership with Joe Angus to take the No.2 doubles 4-2, 4-1 for an overall 5-1 Cullercoats win.
