Cullercoats Tennis Club girls team top the Northeast girls’ 14 and under league after a great win in windy conditions at home last weekend against Cramlington.
Rachel Foreman at number one played well but eventually succumbed in the match tie-break to a strong Cramlington number one.
But Foreman combined well with Emma Charlton to win the number one doubles in straight sets.
And Charlton also impressed winning her number two singles comfortably, 4-0, 4-0.
Steph Black and Lydia Clark at number three and four both won their singles and doubles to take the team to a 5-1 victory and top of the league.
Cullercoats boys team of Ryan Maughan, Dom Gunning, Peter Black and Joe Angus also enjoyed a good win, 6-0 over Bohemians, last weekend with all players winning in straight sets to take them up to third in the Northeast 14 and under boys’ league.
