It has been confirmed that Whitley Warriors’ Dave Holland will once again be on the club’s coaching staff for the 2014-15 season.

Holland will continue in his role as assistant to head coach Simon Leach over the course of the campaign.

He will also have the task of coaching his own son this coming season as Dean Holland moved back to Hillheads recently after spending almost two seasons with the Guildford Flames in the English Premier League.

This will be the first time the father and son have both been in the Warriors dressing room at the same time as Dave linked up with Whitley a couple of seasons back shortly after Dean had sealed his move to ice in Surrey for the Flames.

Warriors are hopeful that further players will be added to their playing squad in the next few weeks to boost their roster even further.

To date Warriors have 13 players for next term with two netminders, three blue liners and eight forwards all committed to the club.

Whitley have been by far the most active side in their division so far this close season as few of their NIHL North rivals are yet to confirm any signings, which should stand Warriors in good stead for their NIHL North Moralee Conference campaign.

Fans are reminded to check the clubs website and the News Guardian for up to date Warriors news throughout the close season as further news will be issued on a weekly basis.
