Emphatic win for boys team

CULLERCOATS boys’ 16s started their Aegon Summer League with a 12-0 win over Eldon Grove Club of Hartlepool.

James Brown got the team going with a quick 6-0, 6-1 win, which was followed up by a Dan Simpson victory 6-0, 6-0.

The doubles was an equally impressive 6-0, 6-0.

Jacob Docx and Chris Short won their doubles, and with emphatic results in the reverse singles the 6-0 scoreline was never in doubt.

Cullercoats now sit top of division one.

Cullercoats boys’ 14s had a tougher time away to David Lloyd Teesside.

The team of Josh Short, Ryan Maughan, Tom Whiting-Adams and Andre Streimann registered a 5-1 reverse.

Cullercoats mini orange nine and under team of Jonny Jordan, Dan Murdoch, Robert Cooke and Georgia Don played well but did not have the match experience of a Morpeth team, losing 9-1.
