NORTH Tyneside Badminton Academy has been on a roll with their fundraising efforts.
Children were out in force at Tesco in North Shields where they helped shoppers pack their bags to raise £461.
Then £862 was raised through a fundraising charity night at the Westholme Farm Social Club.
Gary Abela, of Villabela Properties Ltd, bid and won the ballboy place for his son Ajay at the Newcastle United vs Swansea match, where he met the players and Alan Shearer.
Ajay said: “It was awesome but very cold.”
The academy thanked Lisa Bell and the Newcastle United Foundation for the prize.
