Leaders moving clear in coastal pool league

THE latest round of games in the North Tyne Coastal Pool League show a definitive move by the top teams to go clear of the chasing pack.

Bertie’s Bar welcomed Seahorse B and will be content with their 11-3 win.

Red Lion B made the short journey to the Hunting Lodge, who themselves had been on a bit of a revival in recent weeks, but Lion showed their class with an impressive 12-2 win.

Red Lion A welcomed Seahorse C and must be disappointed as the Hillheads outfit took the spoils by ten frames to four.

The results will allow the three winning teams to take an advantage over Seahorse A at the top of the table as they had a free week.

Elsewhere Seahorse D won for the first time this season with an emphatic 10-4 win over the Berkeley.

Meanwhile Bedroom/Vic continued their impressive start with a 9-5 victory over the Black Horse.

The final three results of the night ended in stalemate with Fat Ox at Last Orders, VIs at Kittiwake A and Kittiwake B at Townhouse all sharing the 14 frames evenly.

At the top of the table Bertie’s Bar lead the way on 60 points from five games followed by Red Lion B on 51 and Seahorse C on 50. Seahorse A lie fourth on 48 points but with a game in hand.
