Seven members of the North Shields-based Terminus Judo Club travelled to Goole Leisure Centre for a Senior and Under 12 competition.

In the junior section, gold medals were awarded to sisters Alisha and Abbey Fidler in their respective weight categories.

Jordan Patterson was awarded with a silver medal only just losing in the final, with all his previous fights being won by some of the best ippon throws of the day.

Holly Waugh gained a silver medal an excellent achievement while Josh Eyers gained a bronze medal in the under 38kg section adding to his previous medals he has won.

Alex Evans entered his first BJA competition and acquitted himself well with his effort and determination.

In the senior section, Danny Patterson was injured in his first fight but decided to continue on and gained the bronze medal.

The cub trains on Monday and Wednesday at the Terminus club in West Percy Street. Session times at 6.15pm to 7.15pm for juniors and 7.15pm to 8.15pm for seniors.
