A JUDO club enjoyed a fruitful time at a competition with all members picking up medals.
North Shields-based Terminus Judo Club entered 18 people in the Scarborough Sports Centre Summer Event, with all of them winning medals.
Gold medals were awarded to Sean Sutherland, Ben Smith, Joe Ross, Marcia Sa, Millie Richards and Caitlin McAndrew.
Silver medalists were Sam Edmundson, Jack Ross and Leah Duncan.
And there were Bronze medals for Connor Brookes, Matthew Dinning, Owen Casey, Morgan Coyne, Sam Smith, Nile Ward, Jack Craig, Chloe Penton and Hannah Dunn.
Club coach Bill Tierney praised the players for their effort and determination for trying their best to reach their own targets and for further progression in their chosen sport.
He added: “Most of the players came into the club as total novices, some came from judo being taught in their schools by Steven Ilderton.
“The enthusiasm and the willing to learn, being fitter, meeting other members and most of all having fun all contribute having a good club membership.
“The club’s approach is about encouraging all players, whatever their talents and motivation, to achieve to their full potential. It is not only about improving performance but also encouraging lifelong participation in judo.”
Session times for juniors are Monday and Wednesday 6.15pm to 7.15pm and for seniors 7.15pm to 8.15pm.
