Medal success for Terminus Judo Club members

North Shields-based Terminus Judo Club entered 21 players in the Newcastle Area Grade and Veteran Tournament held at Benfield Centre for Sport.

All of them claimed medals at a well supported event with more than 100 competitors from clubs across the north east.

Gold medal winners were Daniel Ward, Jordan Patterson and Alisha Fidler.

Taking home silver medals were Caitlin Fidler, Abby Fidler and Lucy Fitzpatrick while there were bronze medals for Alex Johnson and Ben Smith.

Runner up medals were awarded to Alfie Edmundson, Jake Domoney, Alex Evans, Joseph Ward, Toby Bainbridge, Josh Eyre, Connor Brookes and Sam Edmundson.

In the girls section there were runner up medals for Jodie Eyre, Tilly Maughn, Jennifer Brookes, Macey Maughn and Hannah Dunn.

The club would like to thank Barclays Bank for their donation towards the players expenses and training courses.

Members are coached by Bill Tierney at the club’s base in West Percy Street.

Session times for juniors are Monday and Wednesday 6.15pm to 7.15pm and for seniors 7.15pm to 8.15pm.
