Cullercoats mini tennis red team followed up last weekend’s mini orange team league victory with a 16-0 win over Beverly Park to confirm them as champions of the Northeast Division A.
Max Boxshall, Zoe Parkin, Paul Freeman and Sam Knowles won all four singles to win the top league by going unbeaten with four wins out of four.
The team enjoyed victories over Cramlington, Collingwood, Beverly Park and Morpeth.
Cullercoats girls 14s Aegon team had a tougher time against a strong David Lloyd Teesside.
Rachel Foreman, Emma Charlton and Steff Black all had close singles games but were unable to turn them into winning rubbers.
Star for Cullercoats was Lydia Clark, who after winning the first set playing some great tennis was unlucky to lose the closest game of the day 10-8 in the final set.
Coaching at Cullercoats is all day Saturday and mini tennis and full ball tennis camps run every school holiday week.
