National success and world record for Tynemouth ASC

Tynemouth Amateur Swimming Club had great success at the British and English Championships.

The club now has 13 swimmers identified on the English Swimming Talent programmes and more attending a regional initiative.

The success makes Tynemouth the most successful in North Tyneside and Northumberland.

Niamh Page and Will Morris have been selected for the national team event while Sian Martin, Henry Willis, Alfie Kelly and Ciaron Thomas have been selected for the North East English Schools team to compete in English Schools national event.

Meanwhile Lola Davison, Laura Cook, Harriet Lee, Will Morris, Adam Wilson and Alfie Kelly were all selected for the English Talent Programme development day.

Tynemouth ASC has also received a certificate to confirm that the club are world record holders for the fastest 100x50m freestyle relay race.
