Netball teams took part in a tournament in memory of a young boy.
Fifteen teams contested the annual Tobi Swinbank Memorial Netball tournament at Blue Flames Sporting Club.
The event was organised by Tobi’s parents, Ian and Evonne, and was sponsored by Future Strategies Ltd, allowing all money raised to go directly to the RVI Children’s Kidney Fund.
The charity, which raises money for continued research and development of haemodialysis in babies, cared for Tobi who tragically died of kidney failure aged just 14 months.
Tobi’s younger brother Max has also been born with one functioning kidney and so the money raised will help the RVI team further their research and try to make the lives of the young children and babies in the ward more comfortable.
The event raised a total of £1,463.20.
