North Shields lost two fixtures during the week but late on Friday night a game was arranged with South Tyneside College with the Mariners travelling to Preston Playing Fields for the fixture.
Crusaders were led by Tom Rendles at fly-half with Jack Rendles moving to scrum-half. In the pack Alan Millar returned at hooker alongside Sam Condie and Matt Carney who were propping.
South Tyneside College lent two players to Crusaders to give them a full side.
Crusaders started strongly and quickly scored a try from Sam Condie, with Matthew Padden adding the conversion.
Then centre Richard Sampson scored with Padden adding the extras.
A second try for Sampson saw him breaking through the whole Mariners side to score and take the lead to 19-0.
Mariners hit back with a try before Sampson got his second hat-trick in two weeks. A Padden conversion and penalty made the half-time score 29-5.
In the second half Crusaders added four further tries, two for centre Ben Cross and a further two for Sampson, Padden adding one further conversion for a final score of 51-5 to Crusaders.
Man of the match was awarded to number eight Jon Kemsley.
