But the second team innings did not start to well.
Bob Zanetti tried to pull a short ball and James Ramshaw came charging in from mid-wicket to dive full length and catch the ball inches from the ground.
Once again Mark Tunstall came to the rescue with a patient 43 not out to see the second team to the win.

This weekend the firsts play Tynemouth thirds on Sunday in a must win game, the seconds are at home to Hebburn seconds and the thirds travel to play New Hartley seconds.
