Whitley Warriors held their annual presentation night at the Seahorse in Whitley Bay.

All of the club’s playing and coaching staff were in attendance and a number of the Warriors received awards for the 2013-14 campaign.

Top scorer over the season Adam Reynolds was named as the club’s top forward with young blue liner Christian Johnson picking up the defenceman of the year award.

Johnson was also voted the players’ player of the year, a great accolade for the teenager, who had a constituent campaign in defence.

Alternate captain Jamie Tinsley collected the most valuable player award for his committed gritty displays out on the ice.

The hard-working Martin Crammond claimed the coach’s player of the year title while youngster Callum Queenan was named the most improved player on the roster in his first season of hockey at senior level with the Warriors.

Everyone who attended the event had an enjoyable evening and many more social events are being planned by the supporters’ club to take place during the 2014-15 season that gets under way in the autumn.
