The season of music at a Whitley Bay church will continue tomorrow (Friday) with a concert by a pianist from Jordan.
Iyad Sughayer will perform in the Music at Saint Paul’s season at Saint Paul’s Church in Whitley Bay on Friday, June 6.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Simon Passmore who was to give the recital was not able to attend.
Pianist Iyad was able to step in at the last minute to perform his program which will include Mozart’s Adagio in B minor.
Concert organiser Gerald Lang said: “Iyad is a most accomplished young pianist from Jordan who we are delighted to have in the north east.
“He is at present studying at the Northern College of Music, Manchester, and came second in the 22 and Under at the fourth Manchester International Piano Concerto Competition for Young Pianists held during August 2013.
“We are indeed privileged to have yet again a pianist of such obvious talent to perform at Saint Paul’s.”
The concert will begin at the revised time of 7.30pm at St Paul’s Church.
Admission is £7 and tickets are available on the door on the night.
