A Whitley Bay artist is to display some of his work during an exhibition at a Newcastle gallery.

Art gallery The Biscuit Factory has selected the line-up for its autumn exhibition, and included artist Darren Mundy.

His selection of fantasy landscapes will be shown alongside 50 other artists, including headliner Gordon Wilson, a Scottish oil painter.

The exhibition incorporates a diverse collection of contemporary paintings, prints, glass, sculpture, textiles and jewellery.

Rachel Brown, general manager of The Biscuit Factory, said: “We have an exciting selection of artists this autumn and kicking off the exhibition we’re presenting a revamped preview evening.

“With live music, complimentary drinks and appetisers, we hope this updated, less formal take on the traditional preview evening works to attract a diverse crowd of people.”

The autumn show opens with the launch event on September 4 and runs until November 12.
