Milestone for fundraising music event

Thirty years of music will be celebrated in North Shields at the Rotary Spring Concert.

The event at Christ Church has been a long-standing fixture in the entertainment calendar, raising thousands of pounds for good causes.

This year it is extra special as the concert will be the last one for stalwart Bob Harrison.

It will feature the North Tyneside Youth Training Band, North Tyneside Music Education Hub Harmony Choir, The Vermont Big Band and North Tyneside Concert Band.

All profits will go towards Linskill Nursery’s sensory room project.

It takes place at the church on Sunday, at 2pm.

Tickets cost £5 in advance, £4 concs, from Brannen and Partners in Park View, Whitley Bay, or Front Street, Tynemouth, or from Fleming’s in Nile Street, North Shields. Alternatively, they are £6 on the door.
