A WALLSEND musician has released a single to raise money for charity.
Following on from the success of his first charity single The Impossible Dream for Children in Need last year, Junior Turner has now written Say Goodbye, which he hopes will raise hundreds of pounds for Help For Heroes.
Junior, from Queens Crescent, Wallsend, said: “The Impossible Dream had phenomenal sales and was received well both nationally and internationally, and I have now been contacted by Help for Heroes regarding a song that I wrote myself called “Say Goodbye”.
“The lyrics were initially written regarding what people go through when relationships break down and there are children involved.
“Whenever it got airplay radio DJs both here in England and abroad always said it should be for Help for Heroes because they felt the lyrics were so poignant to a soldier going away and what his family must feel and go through whilst away.”
The song will be released on iTunes and Amazon mp3 on Saturday, May 14, and Junior is now working on putting together a music video to go with the song, which is being produced by Lancashire Based film producers The Bashford Twins.
“The music video is to be filmed in many varied locations to try and capture the different aspects of a soldiers work and his families emotions,” said Junior.
