Whitley end season in style - but lose second place race WHITLEY Bay rounded off the season in tremendous style, toppling newly crowned champions Durham City with a well deserved victory at Hillheads on Tuesday evening.

Blow for Bay in battle for second place WHITLEY Bay suffered a disappointing defeat on Saturday against Consett, their rivals for the runners-up position in the Arngrove Northern League first division.

All too familiar for Whitley Bay THIS was Whitley's third 1-1 draw in the space of eight days and as in the previous games, they came from behind to equalise midway through the first half.
