WHITLEY BAY FC begin their Northern League season at home to Tow Law Town on Saturday, determined to maintain their position as one of the dominant forces in the League.
In the past two seasons they have finished as champions and in third place and last season they also reached the semi-final of the FA Vase.

Fans have become used to success with Ian Chandler in charge and will be hoping for another good season.

On the Tuesday evening, newly promoted Ryton are the visitors to Hillheads while the following Saturday, August 16, the FA Cup campaign gets underway with Whitley travelling to Northallerton Town.
