WHITLEY BAY manager Ian Chandler has vowed to get his players playing football again, come this Saturday's second leg in the semi-final of the FA Vase.
By his own admission Whitley did not perform at Lowestoft in the first tie.

But Whitley Bay have scored four or more goals in a game on several occasions this season and Chandler is hopeful they can do it again on Saturday.

He told newsguardian.co.uk after the game: "Give Lowestoft their due they came and they had pretty much as much luck as they wanted in the first half, the sending off, the penalty and a cross that hit the post and came out and they scored, so you have to give them a bit of credit.

"But we did not turn up at all there is probably only about two or three players that can hold their head high tonight."

Going a goal down in the opening minutes, and having defender Brian Rowe sent off within ten minutes meant Chandler could not have wished for a worse start.

But hearing the Lowestoft fans at the end of the game singing Wembley songs seems to have made the Bay boss more determined to get a performance out of his team this week.

The manager wants to continue the road to Wembley for Whitley Bay and see the Lowestoft fans eating their words come 5pm on Saturday.

He said: "It's a big ask but we have been three nil down at half-time this year and come back from it, so it's not finished."
