WHITLEY BAY FC manager Ian Chandler is urging football fans to get behind his team this Saturday in what could be a game people talk about for years to come.
It is not an impossible task for Whitley Bay to secure a place at Wembley following their 4-0 defeat at Lowestoft in the FA Vase semi-final first leg last Saturday.
And Bay are hoping thousands will turn up to Hillheads to see if they can turn the tie on its head.
Chandler told the News Guardian: "Saturday may have dented a few people's perceptions about what is going to go on, but if they do not turn up then they could miss a game that people will be talking about for years to come.
"I know it is a cliché, but the crowd could be our 12th man.
"It would be nice if they could come to the game because we are looking to play the same kind of football that has taken us through to the semi-final."
There were 2,102 at the first leg in Suffolk and Whitley are hopeful they can show their opponents an even bigger crowd.
