LEE KERR joined the elite group of players to have scored 100 goals for Whitley Bay when he got the second goal at Northallerton during Thursday evening's 3-2 victory.
He became only the sixth, and by far the youngest player to achieve this landmark, joining Billy Wright, John Gatens, Ian Chandler, Ray Oliver and Neal Walton in the record books.

On the pitch before Saturday's game against Spennymoor Town, Lee was presented with a commemorative golden boot from club president Sid Cope.

Kerr's goals have come at the rate of one every two games and included a remarkable 14 in seven games in December and January.

In 2004-05 Lee became the only player to have scored in three FA competitions, the FA Youth Cup, FA Cup and FA Vase in the same season.

Last year Lee was named the Northern League Young Player of the Year and he also won the Radio Newcastle Player of the Year award.

He is currently joint top scorer with Paul Chow, both players having scored 32 goals this season.
