Published Date: 11 September 2008
MY neighbours and I were horrified to discover that as from September 1 Percy Park had become part of the 75/76 bus route.
We were not consulted about this or forewarned.

One child has already been killed in Percy Park by a car, and another two seriously injured. We all feel that the road is dangerous enough without buses adding to the problem.

Evidently the reason for the re-route is because there are no buses along The Broadway.

There is a very simple solution to this, instead of the 2 bus terminating at North Shields, just re-route it along the old 300 or 310 route to Whitley Bay, or even to Blyth, which would be even better.

No buses along Percy Park, thank you.

MRS D MURRAY
and everyone else in Percy Park.
