THE 60s Likely Lads are back in Whitley Bay.
However, this time in the shape of Paul Irwin and Chris Wilson, our very own 2008 Likely lads who have so masterfully produced and marketed the new pocket size Whitley Bay Guide.

This new guide, backed by the Whitley Bay Chamber of Trade, has now been launched in the town and it is being very well received.

It is a fully comprehensive 'snapshot' of Whitley Bay to help everyone get more out of a visit to this seaside town. Unlike Terry and Bob of the 60s, Paul and Chris seem to have got it right 'first time' and we have them to thank for lifting the profile of the town while it is undergoing its regeneration.

This guide will steer us through this year while major attractions are being refurbished and take our town into 2009 when it will be looking smarter and ready to attract new visitors. With the ever present 'credit crunch' a holiday in the British Isles may now be even more popular.
