Local band After Midnight have added an extra date to their tour, to perform a second gig at Porters Coffee House next month.

Mike Hall and Dave Robson will be taking time off from their Classic Clapton UK Tour to perform the acoustic gig on Sat urday, June 15.

The new date was added due to public demand after their previous gig on May 11 quickly sold out without even advertising.

After Midnight were formed in Newcastle in 1985, and for the past 12 years have concentrated on their Eric Clapton tribute concerts, performed at theatres all over the UK, under the name Classic Clapton.

This year they are continuing their national tour throughout the UK, which includes a concert at the Playhouse Whitley Bay in October.

For this unplugged gig Mike and Dave will both sing and play guitar, performing covers of music by The Beatles plus The Eagles, Crowded House and a number of 60’s and 70’s classics.

The event will not be an Eric Clapton tribute show.

Tickets are priced at £7 and are avalable by calling Porters Coffee House on (0191) 258 6100 or visiting
