Music school in Germany seeking links with borough

A MUSIC school in one of the borough’s twin towns is looking to forge links with choirs, groups, and orchestras in North Tyneside.

The Musikschule Moenchengladbach school in Germany has 4,500 members.

And director Frank Fueser has contacted North Tyneside Twin Towns Association in a bid to find contacts of groups here.

He said: “‘I am particularly keen for the link to be with North Tyneside, because it is Moenchengladbach’s twin town.

“This can lead to invitations to Moenchengladbach and maybe in return.

“It would be an opportunity for choirs and orchestras and this link could last well into the future.”

Aidan Ridley, of the borough association, said: “This contact was made during a recent friendship visit to the town.

“We hope a choir, musical group or orchestra can make a link.”
