Summer craft makes its debut

The promenade along Harton Quays Park will come alive with colourful stalls next Sunday, July 13, when a craft market will be set up as part of South Tyneside’s Summer Festival.

Talented local artists and craftspeople will be displaying their wares ranging from toys to ceramics, jewellery to original paintings and cupcakes to textiles between 10am and 2pm.

The craft fair, which has been organised in partnership with the Customs House and Groundwork, will coincide with the free Sunday concert featuring popstars B*witched and Shayne Ward at nearby Bents Park.

A craft fair will also be held on Sunday, July 20, and Sunday, July 27, to coincide with other free concerts as part of the Summer Festival.

Harton Quays Park, which stretches along the River Tyne from the ferry landing to the Customs House, features curved embankments, a promenade, sheltered gardens, a striking water feature and an amphitheatre.
