An award-winning dance group has stepped into the party spirit for the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Members of the Whitley Bay Tea Dance Club celebrated the occasion at Age UK North Tyneside’s centre while dancing a selection of sequence and ballroom dances to recorded music.
The group, led by professional teachers Carole Gourdie and Norman Stockton, then enjoyed afternoon tea, before holding a raffle in aid of club funds.
The dancers meet every Wednesday, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm, at the Masonic Hall in Norham Road, Whitley Bay. Anyone wishing to join in or find out more should contact Carole on 07851 234657.
