A right royal celebration is taking place at a North Tyneside church.
St Alban’s Church in Earsdon will host a series of events to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Tomorrow (Friday), there will be an exhibition covering the 90 years of the monarch’s life, open from noon to 4pm, with refreshments in the adjacent Eccles Hall.
It can also be seen on Saturday, from 10am to 4pm, when the hall will host stalls and a raffle supported by local businesses.
A Last Night of the Proms concert takes place at the church at 7.30pm on Friday, with music by Reunion Brass and singers Airs and Graces. Tickets are £7 on the door.
And on Sunday, at 10am, there is a special church service.
The Rev Andrew France said: “It will be a memorable weekend and I hope people will come and join the fun.”
