A pop-up wine bar is encouraging friendly rivalry with European neighbours.
Guest Wines, the brainchild of Whitley Bay couple Kelvyn and Ruth Guest, are gaining a growing reputation for interesting and fun events where wines from all over the world are showcased.
The couple met on holiday in Peru 11 years ago and bonded over their shared passion for wine, deciding to learn more about the subject for a potential career.
Ruth said: “It’s a journey of discovery and that’s what we’re hoping to inspire and share through our events and tastings.
“It’s not just about drinking it, it’s about understanding better what’s in your glass.”
“We want to bring good wine to the people, by breaking down barriers and taking you on a journey. Our pop-up nights are fun and informative, exploring a variety of wines to find out more about what’s right for you.”
