Angels appeal for charity collectors

I WOULD appreciate the opportunity to seek help from the general public with charity bucket collections at High Gosforth Park Racecourse.

Transport will be provided to and from the racecourse and volunteers over the age of 16 can contact me on (0191) 253 0399.

The summer months are the busiest time of year for such fundraising events and the next two meeting, at the Newcastle course clash with other charity collections that we will be undertaking at various large superstores in the area, so our resources are stretched.

The first meeting we require help with is the first day of the Race Week Festival, Thursday, June 28, from 1pm, and the second date is Ladies’ Day on Saturday, July 28, from 1pm.

All monies raised on both dates will be given to Callum’s Wish To Walk to help to pay for seven-year-old Callum Brown from Seaton Sluice to go to the United States to undergo a life-changing operation that, hopefully, will enable Callum to stand and walk for the first time in his life.
