A teenager has been charged after a 16-year-old boy was found wandering the streets beaten and burned in North Tyneside.
Police found the youngster walking near to thr A189 Annitsford roundabout on Saturday, November 15, have charged a 17-year-old boy with wounding with intent to commit GBH.
He is due before South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).
A 13-year-old boy who had also been arrested in connection with the incident has been release on police bail.
The youngster suffered a fractured cheekbone and burns to his back, arm and hand.
Enquiries are continuing.
