The PDSA shop on Park Avenue in Whitley Bay will be celebrating its 31st birthday on Wednesday, August 1.
This year is also the 100th anniversary of the founding of the veterinary charity by Maria Dickin.
The party will take place between 9am and 5pm.
A spokeswoman for the PDSA Whitley Bay Shop said: “We wouldn’t have been able to support so many local pets without the support of you all and we hope to carry on supporting sick pets for many years to come.
“Why not have a clear-out before coming down? All donations are very much appreciated – especially bric-a-brac, books and bags.
“We also have vacancies for volunteers, so if you can spare a few hours each week, why not have a chat with us and see if you can be the next pet superhero?”
PDSA provides low cost and free veterinary care to the sick and injured pets of people in need and promotes responsible pet ownership.
